The missing tile shows a hatched arrow pointing left with the dot at the bottom-right corner (option 4).
How to solve it
- Compare neighboring tiles and name what changes each time.
- From tile to tile, the arrow in the middle turns a quarter turn counterclockwise.
- The fill cycles outline, hatched and solid, then starts again.
- The small dot moves two places counterclockwise around the edge at each step.
- Everything else stays the same from tile to tile.
- The last tile shows an outlined arrow pointing up with the dot at the bottom-left corner. Apply each change once more.
- So the missing tile shows a hatched arrow pointing left with the dot at the bottom-right corner.
About this puzzle
Hard sequences run three rules at once: the shape turns, its fill cycles, and a small dot moves around the edge. It was generated by the same engine that builds the IQ Octopus test, from a fixed seed, so it stays the same every time you visit. In the real test, items like this are generated fresh for every attempt.
