1. Who we are

IQ Octopus is operated by Sourdough AI LLC, 223 Child St, Warren, RI 02885, United States (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the website, the test and any result you buy.

2. What the result is

IQ Octopus gives you an estimated IQ based on your answers to a set of generated puzzles. It is for your personal interest and self-understanding. It is not a clinical or diagnostic instrument, it is not administered by a psychologist, and it must not be used for Mensa admission, educational placement, disability assessment, employment screening or any other official decision. How the estimate is made is explained on how it works.

We do not promise any particular score, and a score from IQ Octopus is not a prediction about your future.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use IQ Octopus. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to buy a result. The test is designed for adults.

4. Payment

Taking the test is free. The full result costs $4.95 in US dollars, charged once. It is not a subscription and does not renew. The price is shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms; we never receive your card number. Once payment succeeds, you get access to your result through a private link.

5. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 7 days of purchase by asking. See the refund policy for how.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use bots, scripts or other automated means to take the test or to collect puzzles or results;
• try to get around the scoring, the payment step or the access controls on result pages;
• overload, disrupt or attempt to break into the service;
• copy, resell or republish the site's puzzles or content as your own;
• use the service to break any law.

We may block attempts or access that break these rules.

7. Ownership

The site, its text, design, puzzle templates and generated puzzles belong to Sourdough AI LLC. You may share your own result, the share card and short quotes from our guides with a link back. Your answers remain yours; you give us permission to store and use them as described in the privacy policy.

8. No warranty

We work to keep the service accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Sourdough AI LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the result in question. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Rhode Island, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Before filing anything, please email us; most problems are solved with a refund or a fix.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not apply to a purchase you made before the change.
