Which tile completes the second pair?
Tap the option you think is right, or show the answer.
Show the answer
The missing panel shows a large outlined triangle pointing down on its own (option 1).
How to solve it
- Compare the first two panels and name exactly what changed.
- The small circles are removed.
- The whole figure is flipped upside down, top to bottom.
- Nothing else changes.
- Apply the same changes to the third panel: a large outlined triangle pointing up, with small solid shapes: a circle at the top-left corner and a circle at the top.
- So the missing panel shows a large outlined triangle pointing down on its own.
About this puzzle
Hard analogies combine two changes, such as the small shapes moving while the main shape turns. It was generated by the same engine that builds the IQ Octopus test, from a fixed seed, so it stays the same every time you visit. In the real test, items like this are generated fresh for every attempt.
